 Joe pelling joins forces with indie game publisher devolver digital on their annual new games showcase.

written and directed by Joe and Charlie Pelling, the film is a black mirror-ish blend of mockumentary archival footage with a live presentation event gone horribly wrong, interweaving the latest devolver game trailers along the way. 

the 20 minute film premiered as part of summer game fest 2023 - the biggest event in the global gaming calendar - and sees the resurrection of ‘volvy’, devolver’s beloved 90s game mascot. bespoke ‘volvy' game sequences were created by a range of devolver developers, including nomada, no brakes games, massive monster studios, and dead toast entertainment.
